What’s New with the PSA?

PSA General Membership Meeting – The PSA will hold its Fall membership meeting on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 11:30-1:00 at the Campus Center Ballroom*. Lunch will be provided. All PSA members, are welcome to attend. Employees who are eligible to become, but are not yet members of the PSA, should contact psa@njit.edu about the possibility of attendance.
*An invitation will be emailed to all members and an RSVP will be requested because lunch will be provided and we need to ensure we have enough seating available.

June 2022 – The PSA signs a new MOA with the administration concerning the development and delivery of asynchronous online courses. The MOA increases the compensation available to Faculty/Lecturers for the successful development of these courses and further codifies several points regarding its delivery. April 2022 – The PSA signs a MOA with the administration the PSA and the NJIT Administration to include Juneteenth as an additional holiday in our Collective Bargaining Agreement. See https://psaaaup.org/wp-3ufraxUs/uploads/2022/07/Juneteenth-Holiday-MOA-2022.pdf for additional details.

April 2022 – The PSA signs a MOA granting new vision benefits to employees within our negotiating unit who participate in an NJIT medical plan. Working together with the administration, the PSA helped bring in a new vision plan which substantially improves available benefits. See https://hr.njit.edu/vision-care for additional details.
